Mrs. Clarissa Newby Phillips Director/Choreographer, Dance Educator, Entrepreneur
Received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts, and a Masters of Arts degree in Dance In Higher Education from New York University. Mrs. Phillips holds N.J. Certification in Dance: Teacher of Vocational Arts and Production. Her college experiences allowed her the opportunity to work with modern dance artists; Claudia Gitelman, Don Redlich, Douglas Dunn, Laura Glenn and broadway choreographer Greg Ganakas. She began training at age 15 through a scholarship at the School of the Garden State Ballet, and continued her studies at Gallman's Newark Dance Theater where she became a member of the professional company in 1983.
